Prof. Javaid Akhter holds graduation degree in Commerce from AMU with Gold medal, MBA in First Division and PhD from Faculty of Management AMU. He attended one year FDP in Management from IIM-A. He has served FMSR AMU for nearly 4 decades which includes holding Office of the Chairperson for 3 years, Dean FMSR for 6 years, COE and Registrar AMU for 2 and a half years each. He has published over 50 research papers, authored three books and supervised 62 PhD theses, 2 scholars have recently submitted theses and 4 are actively working under his supervision. He has also served as independent Director on Board of SAIL. He has also been actively associated with assessment accreditation of higher educational constitutions for NAAC and NBA and so far has assessed over 100 Colleges and Universities all over India
