ABIMS’ Students Code of Conduct
A: RAGGING
- Ragging is completely banned at ABIMS Campus.
B: ACADEMIC MATTERS
- You are required to attend the classes regularly as per AKTU/ABIMS rules.
- Submit course work/assignments/research project (dissertation) /summer training report by deadlines.
- Go through the Institute’s Notice Boards and website on regular basis.
C: RESPECT AND COURTESY
- Respect all teachers, support staff, fellow students and visitors to the Institute.
D: INSTITUTE’S UNIFORM/I-CARD
- Wearing the Institute’s uniform and I-Card is mandatory while you are in the campus.
E: HARSSMENT
- Do not harass fellow students.
F: FEES
- Pay your fees and all other charges within initial 10 days of each semester.
G: EQUALITY & DIVERSITY
- Respect fellow students’ ethnicity, religious and cultural beliefs.
H: CARE OF PROPERTY
- Do not damage, deface, lose, or steal library books, journals, newspapers, computer lab equipments etc.
- Do not damage the Institute’s buildings, fixtures, or furniture.
I: CAMPUS DECORUM
- Park your vehicles in the proper parking space available close to the main gates of Al-Barkaat campus.
- In free time avoid loitering in the corridors. Rather use library, computer lab or common room for developmental purposes.
- Eating is allowed within the confines of the ABIMS canteen only.
- Use dustbins for garbage and spittoons for spitting.
- Turn off mobile phones and personal music systems while in class-rooms, library or the computer lab.
- You should not invite outsiders in the campus without obtaining due permission from the director.
- Turn-off all electric appliances (fans, lights, projector, etc) when not in use.
J: PROHIBITIONS
- Do not use prohibited and harmful substances such as tobacco, pan-masala, gutkha, cigarettes, etc.
- Mobile phone/scientific calculator/any other electronic gadgets are not allowed in sessional examinations.
- Do not bring weapons of any kind.
- Do not indulge in physical, psychological or emotional abuse.
K: IT CODE OF CONDUCT
- Use the free-access computers in the Computer lab only for academic purposes.
- Do not bring your own software programs to install on Institute’s computers
- Always use the virus check software when using USB/external hard drives.
In case you are found to be violating any of the above code/s of conduct, the decision of the Disciplinary Committee shall be final.
