Procedure For Admissions
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow conducts U.P. State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) for candidates domiciled/ doing Degree courses from Colleges and Universities in U.P.
Eligibility: Three-year degree course in any discipline from a University recognized by AKTU with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ ST) marks in aggregate and those who are in final year of their Degree courses.
The second preference is given to graduates with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ ST) marks and relevant scores of CAT/ MAT/ CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) in the same order.
Since the Institute has been granted Minority Status by the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, GOI, New Delhi from the Academic Session 2011-12, the admission procedure in Minority Institutions will be as under-
- 50% of the seats will be filled by the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University,Lucknow through counseling based on the result of Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE)
- 50% seats will be filled through Entrance test conducted by the Institute, from minority community (& also from non-minority community in case seats remain vacant from minority community) from the State as well as from other States subject to the conditions laid down by the Govt. of U.P./University.
How to Apply
The Application Form alongwith the Information Brochure may be obtained from the Institute on payment of Rs.200/- in cash or through post by sending a Demand Draft of Rs.250/- in favour of Al-Barkaat Institute of Management Studies, Aligarh and those who are downloading from Institute’s website: www.abims.ac.in can submit it alongwith a Demand Draft of Rs. 200 drawn in favour of Al-Barkaat Institute of Management Studies, Aligarh.
Enclosures-
1) Four recent colored passport size photographs
2) Attested copies of Certificates (10th onwards)
3) Domicile Certificate, if applicable
4) Migration Certificate
5) Attested copy of result showing UPSEE rank/ CAT or MAT or CMAT score whichever applicable.
Fee: The tuition fee for MBA programme is as per Institute’s norms.
Financial Assistance: The Institute extends necessary assistance for Banks’ Educational loan & various Governments’ Scholarships.
