SDPs / Workshops

Several workshops are conducted for students every year to broaden their scope of learning. The indicative list of the workshops is as under:

• During the second and third weeks of April, 2017; the ABIMS Faculty teams conducted Career Awareness cum Counselling sessions with graduation final year students of courses like BBA, BA, BCom, BSc in various colleges of Aligarh and nearby areas. The sessions were conducted primarily through a powerpoint presentation highlighting the importance of MBA as a strategic career choice for fresh graduates followed by intensive question and answer sessions between our team members and students. The faculty team visited and delivered interactive presentations at Aligarh College of Engineering and Management, Aligarh, Amrita PG College, Bulandshahr, and Chaudhry Charan Singh Degree College, Iglas. 

• The Al-Barkaat Institute of Management Studies (ABIMS), in line with project Rahat, the CSR initiative of ABES organized free coaching classes during the month of March,2016 for MBA entrance tests for aspiring students belonging to lower socio-economic strata.

• The ABIMS Team visited degree colleges in Bulandshahr, Jawan, Chandausi, Aligarh, Sikandrarao (Hathras) for briefing & counseling undergraduate students about choosing their right career opportunities after BBA, BCA, B.Com, B.A and B.Sc during the months of March & April,2016.

• The students of MBA conceptualized the “Happy Club” as an all encompassing master club wherein different sports, literary, social and cultural activities shall be undertaken via relevant sub-clubs. The Music Club as a sub-group within Happy Club organized a solo singing contest on April 28, 2016 where Ms. Hera Ayub, Mr. Mohd. Yousuf Javed and Ms. Tazeen Suhail got 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively.

• On September 10, 2014, a workshop on ‘Entrepreneurship: A Career option for Business Graduates’ was conducted by Dr. Asif Ali Syed, Associate Professor, Department of Business Administration, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. 

• On April 26, 2014, a workshop on  ‘Communication Skills’ was conducted by Dr. M. Amirullah Khan, Associate Professor, Department of English, AMU, Aligarh.

• On October 12, 2013, a workshop on ‘Entrepreneurship Development’ was conducted by Mr. T.S. Rajput, Deputy General Manager, National Small Scale Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC), Aligarh.

• On April 27, 2013, a workshop on ‘Entrepreneurship Development’ was jointly conducted by Dr. Asif Ali Syed, a senior Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration, AMU and Mr. T.S. Rajput, Deputy General Manager, National Small Scale Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC), Aligarh.

• On March 25, 2013, a workshop on ‘RTI: A Tool for Good Governance and How to use RTI Effectively’ was conducted by Mr. Abdul Hafiz Gandhi, ex-President, Aligarh Muslim University Students' Union for MBA Final & First year students under the aegis of Charcha Foundation, New Delhi.

• On March 16, 2013, a one day workshop on ‘Financial Planning for Young Investors’ was conducted in ABIMS by Mr. Akeel-ur-Rehman, a certified financial education trainer of SEBI.

• On October 14, 2011, a workshop on 'Entrepreneurship Development' was conducted by Mr. T.S Rajput, DGM, National Small Scale Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC), Aligarh.

• On February 02, 2010, a workshop on Computer Applications was conducted by Prof. K. N. Murty, Senior Professor, Department of Economics, University of Hyderabad.

• On December 09, 2009, a one day workshop was conducted by Mr. Abhishek Kumar, Head, Faridabad Branch, Yes Bank on ‘Interview and Case handling skills’.
