Abstract | In the period of globalization our economy is going to suffer from recession and the effect of this recession will mainly affect the manpower planning of the organization. The main aim of the study is to know the changes occurred in manpower planning due to recession. In this study, an endeavor is made to find out the changes in manpower planning under retrenchment, recruitment, salary structure, incentives, training and succession planning especially when there is an economic downturn in the economy. To achieve these objectives a survey was conducted with the sample size of eleven private sector organizations from different areas. The important thing which comes out from this survey is that organizations have done changes in all aspects of their planning but they have not changed their incentive pattern of their employees. |
