Sir Syed Day Celebration (17 October 2022)
As a part of Sir Syed Day Celebrations, the ABIMS organized an event on 17th October where the students participated and delivered the lectures on the life and teachings of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, a social reformer, an educationist and a true believer of humanity. He had always believed in communal harmony and promoted Hindu-Muslim unity. He opposed the English rule but not the English education. His vision to establish the educational institution was based on the pattern of Oxford and Cambridge. He was a man of an unshakeable determination and conviction. Sir Syed was a true scholar, his ways and teachings are still relevant for today’s generation. The lesson of humanity given by him should be followed to make the world a better place to live in, a progressive thinking and advocacy of humanity is the need of the hour. His teachings and commemorations should not be limited to Sir Syed Day celebrations only; we need to replicate him in our thought and daily life, said the Director, ABIMS, Dr. Waseem Ahmad in his closing remarks.
